Today the 5th grade put on a "Wax Museum" where parents visited around the cafeteria. The students were dressed up like the famous person they had researched, and as parents approached, they read off some facts about their person. Kenzie had chosen to be Taylor Swift. I'm pretty sure it was because she wanted the red lipstick!

Piano Lessons
Here is Parker, intently practicing a song before his first piano lesson today. He was so excited to start! It sure is cute to watch him.

Kung Fu Panda 3
Today was Cameron's first trip to the movie theater. The kids have liked the Kung Fu Panda movies, and they also liked this one. I got a kick out of this picture with Cameron reaching for the popcorn.
He we were waiting for it to start. Cameron did pretty well. He got a little antsy a few times, but for the most part he ate popcorn and laughed at the movie. Such a big kid now!

Marvel Live
I'm sad this picture turned out a little blurry, but you can still see the excitement! For Christmas we bought the kids tickets to see Marvel Live, and although we didn't know exactly what to expect, the kids were all quite entertained.
Chris and I thought the Hulk was the cheesiest part, but the kids were all amazed. I wish it wasn't so dark so I could have captured all the open-jawed expressions they made!
At the beginning, we heard the standard, "Don't try this at home; these are trained professionals," speech. About halfway through all the impressive acrobatics, motorcycle stunts, and pyrotechnics, Parker leaned over to me and exclaimed, "These really are trained professionals!" That made me laugh.
Here's a short clip from another part, with lots of explosions. There was a lot going on, and it kept their attention pretty well. Even Cameron was pretty good for the whole thing.
Rivaling the fun of the show was the short train ride back to where we parked our van!
Parker especially loves the train. As soon as Marvel Live ended, he piped up, "Do we get to ride the train back?" When I said, "Yes," he popped right out of his seat and was ready to go! Funny kids. We are glad they had such a fun day.
