Parker is a Teenager!

Somehow we now have two teenagers... Parker has joined the ranks and is officially 13!
He was very eager to open his presents "bright and early" at 9:00 am!
I came home from buying donuts to find everyone testing out the set up for Parker's party.  Chris was able to set up laptops and some games where the boys could play together.
So for two hours, this was what they did!
They only moved to feed!  We had four pizzas, a dozen donuts, chips, Cheetos, and many other snacks... they seemed happy with it!
Parker had a pretty low key afternoon playing more computer games, and then asked to have Del Taco for dinner and watch TV in the living room.  It was not a healthy day, or an active day, but Parker said it was a good day!  We sure like our Parkee Bud.  Almost every week someone will come up to me at church to compliment how seriously he takes passing the sacrament.  His principal just called me today to say his peers voted him Eagle of the Month for "Being Creative".  He is always willing to give his mom a hug and he is still the first person Cameron asks about when he wakes up or comes home from school.  After many years of not understanding sarcasm, he can finally hold his own and loves a good joke!  Happy 13, Parker!
I still think he should be about this size, though ...

Catching Up

Time for some random pictures that have been collecting on my phone.  We visited Grandma and Grandpa Arnold a few weeks ago and the kids were excited to be back out on the lake again.
Parker was frustrated Kenzie paddled faster than he did!  (Tried to reassure him that he's hauling around more mass now that he's taller, but he wasn't convinced)
Parker had his annual eye appointment, so he missed lunch at school.  We made up for it with a little lunch date.  He's a cute boy.
Last Sunday we had dinner at Wes and Hannah's.  Parker brought his laser tag guns - the boys had missed getting to play with Tatum and Paige, and they ran around all evening!
Finally nice enough for our usual walks to the park.  I took this picture while swinging!
And this one!  Kenzie was laughing because most of my pictures were of empty space - quite hard to time taking a picture of the person swinging next to you, I will say!
The kiddos playing tag.
We're all out of shape after the winter!
I thought this was sweet the other day with the boys talking and enjoying their ice cream cones together.
Kenzie in her element, leading me around the garden section picking out what to fill her deck boxes with this year!
Kenzie's pretty good about remembering to water her plants each day and is way more enthusiastic than I ever am about flowers, so it's cute.  That's all we're up to around here!
