5 Years

Five years ago today, we had our daughter, Allie.  (Her story can be found HERE on our old blog).  It is fitting that her birthday falls so closely to Easter each year.  It makes the season very poignant.
As I thought about what message to share for Allie's birthday, I remembered this picture Parker drew a few weeks ago.  He pointed to the little finger floating to the side and said, "Of course, I couldn't forget Allison!"  I kept the picture because of the analogy - she is just on the other hand.  Sometimes those hands are close, and other times they seem far apart when each does its own thing.  They're still both part of the bigger picture, however, and are never really as far apart as they seem.

Happy Birthday Allie.

Easter Sunday

It was a big deal that Cameron and Parker agreed to wear a tie today, so I had to take some pictures!
Pretty Kenzie in her new purple dress.
 They're getting way too tall...
 My cute semi-toothless Parkee Bud.
All the boys.  Cameron did not know what to do when I said, "Smile."  This was the best face he made!
Happy Easter!

Egg Hunt & Easter Baskets

The kids were very excited to see their Easter baskets on the doorstep this afternoon!
Parker and Cameron wasted no time going through everything!  Then it was time to hunt for eggs.
I got a kick out of this.  Parker and Cameron trying to squeeze through the door at the same time!
Kenzie was off!  Good thing she missed quite a few eggs in her frenzy, since her brothers were much slower.
Cameron stopped after his first egg, popped it open, and then shoved all the M&Ms into his mouth before proceeding.  His cheeks were bulging, but he was quite content!
Parker proudly showing off his eggs, and Cameron saying, "I found a gold egg!" to anyone and everyone.  He was pretty impressed with the golden egg!

Decorating Eggs

Egg time!  Parker was so excited that he filled up the cups for me.  This was the first year I let Cameron dye eggs, and he gladly plunked the eggs into the cups and added the food coloring.  Then he looked around like, "Is that it?"
It was exciting again when they were all done, though!  Kenzie is holding her tie dye egg that she was pretty proud of.  Here's to a week of egg salad sandwiches!

Cameron, Our Resident Goofball

Just because, here are some random pictures of Cameron lately.  Here he is snuggling with Kenzie.
I said, "Can I take a picture of you in the chair?"  He agreed, ran over to the chair, and this is what I got.  (Should have been more specific!)
I thought he was so cute when we went out to eat to celebrate Daddy's new job with Grandma and Grandpa Arnold.  He sat there with his Spongebob hood on, ordered his own dinner, and ate all of it!
He loves to be outside, so he happily posed at the top of the swing set at Wes and Hannah's.
About to read his book about monsters loving underpants with his bunny ears on!
This is by far the sweetest.  He fell asleep on Daddy's shoulder one evening.  We sure like having Cameron around.

St. Patrick's Day

This cute little man helped me make green Irish soda bread today.  He was very proud and loudly told everyone at dinner that he had made the bread.  Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Easter is Almost Here

Couldn't resist posting some cute pictures of these goofy kids.  (Cameron has a great bruise on the bridge of his nose from hitting the side of Parker's bed the other night when he was wrestling with Parker!)  Still cute, though.
They were excited to get a fun box from their grandparents.  Those Peeps bunnies have been a big hit.
They only smile because I let them take a weird picture afterwards!

New job!

This good-looking guy got a new car today!  He started working for Executech a few weeks ago, and we are grateful that one of the benefits is a car for him.  His '94 Sentra was just barely hanging in there.  He deserved an upgrade!
