Valentine's

These goofballs had fun making our silly Valentine's cookies.  Instead of "Hug Me" we had "No Way" and I got a kick out of Parker's "1/10" and Cameron just wrote "Sardine" on one.  

We had steaks and lit candles and pretended we were somewhat fancy, though!

Parker was flabbergasted that someone anonymously sent him a rose at school!  None of his friends would fess up.  (His first guess was to text me and ask: "Did Jingo send me a rose?"  Each year at Christmas I'll buy the fundraiser jar of candy for the kids, and enter that it's from Jingo or Duchess, but I really didn't know roses were an option!)  Kind of cute that Parkee had a secret admirer!

Visiting Kenzie

Friday we drove down to Cedar City after the boys were done with school to have a quick weekend visit with our favorite college kid.  We picked up some pizza for a late dinner and just lounged around the hotel.

It's hard to come up with an exciting idea for the first day of February.  It wasn't snowing but it wasn't balmy outside, either.  We decided to visit the indoor Aquatic Center.

I took one picture and then put my phone away so it didn't get wet, but it was a nice pool area.  The boys went down the waterslide a few times and we spent most of our time going around the lazy river again and again.  Then we went out for hamburgers and spent the night watching movies and just enjoying doing something different than a usual weekend.  As always, it went by too quickly but at least we had a chance to take Kenzie to Walmart and get her all stocked up.  She could barely close her cupboards, so she should be set now until Spring Break!
